Trauma-Informed Ministry Workshop

Trauma-Informed Ministry Workshop

"Trauma" is a word that gets floated around to describe many different experiences in our culture. Whether it is describing a life-changing event or a full body experience of PTSD, it's something that we, as pastors and spiritual caregivers, need to understand. This two-day worship has been designed to specifically address the various ways trauma can show up in our lives and in our congregations. From establishing a base understanding of how trauma is defined in clinical settings, to developing healthy responses to the trauma in others, to exploring how we can teach the Bible from a trauma-aware perspective, we hope to empower more leaders in our faith communities to be an active, healing presence in our rapidly changing world.

Join LeaderWise’s Laura Beth Buchleiter & Sarah Lammert to learn more about what trauma is, how to bring a trauma-informed lens into your ministry, and to care for yourself as you engage in this work. See also our blog post on Trauma-Informed Ministry in Everyday Encounters.
