Trauma-Informed Ministry Series

Join us for a workshop series exploring trauma-informed ministry. The series aims to equip congregational leaders—pastors, staff, volunteers—in taking a trauma-informed approach to ministry, so that you can provide safe care and connection to those in your congregation and community. A trauma-informed approach involves being attuned to the ways in which a person's life context and lived experience may shape how they are able to receive care or to experience safety and connection.

A trauma-informed approach is necessary now more than ever as the times we have lived through, and are living in now, are stirring up strong emotions and deep trauma in those we are serving. People are hurting. How can church leaders be present in a different way—a trauma-informed way—to those who are significantly struggling?

The series consists of 4 workshops: The first workshop will be 3 hours and each of the next workshops will be 2 hours.

Navigating Turbulent Times with Emotional Intelligence

Navigating Turbulent Times with Emotional Intelligence

Participating in this workshop will enrich your life and the lives of those for whom you are called to care. When you build Emotional Intelligence (EI), you enhance self-awareness, cultivate empathy for others, and develop greater wisdom in your decision making. This workshop will give you: a clear understanding of how EI relates to leadership in ministry; a chance to measure your emotional intelligence through a standardized psychological test; and the opportunity to identify areas for development and learn practical suggestions for improvement. In our years of experience, LeaderWise has seen the benefits of increased EI for leaders and their congregations. A lack of EI can hinder relationships, prevent cooperation, and leave people feeling railroaded, run over, or suspicious of intentions. People trust leaders with strong EI, and in today’s culture, trust is a limited resource. Learn to strengthen your Emotional Intelligence now through participating in an upcoming LeaderWise workshop.
