Lean on LeaderWise

We at LeaderWise are noticing a surge of urgency among leaders reminiscent of the height of COVID-19 pandemic response. Motion and busy-ness feels like a comfort, assuaging our anxieties. Yet, we know from experience the wisdom in Bayo Akimolafe’s words: “The times are urgent; let us slow down.” Slowing down helps us respond to the moment before us in alignment with our values and boundaries with greater clarity of the risks we may encounter.

In our shared desire to support you who are out in the field leading in these chaotic times, LeaderWise is offering regular touchpoints throughout this season of Spring holy days, a season marked by themes of renewal and rebirth, liberation and hope, gratitude and transformation. These touchpoints will create sacred space for you to slow down. It is our hope to give you the space you need to respond with greater clarity, purpose, and impact. Finally, we’ll offer resources to utilize and share with the people you serve.

LeaderWise is not alone. We’re coordinating with The Ministry Lab and other practitioners in the field of leader-support in providing multiple opportunities for your well-being. As these offerings come online, we’ll update you through our weekly newsletter or you can opt-in here for updates. (Check the box “2026 Lean on LeaderWise.” If you are based in Minnesota, you’re invited to check the box “2026 Minnesota Lean on LeaderWise.” You can also check both boxes.) Additionally, we encourage you to check-in with your religious institutions, denominational bodies, and community organizations who are making resources available.

Yes, the times are urgent. We applaud and appreciate how each and everyone of you is responding at this time. Remember your self ~ take time also to slow down and tune in. As Tricia Hersey reminds us: Rest is also Resistance.

Both offerings begin at noon Central, which is 1pm Eastern, 11am Mountain, and 10am Pacific.
