Certificate in Reflective Pastoral Supervision

Unequaled Supervision Training

Support the well-being of ministry practitioners

Psychologically informed and theologically rich, reflective pastoral supervision (RPS) supports the well-being, flourishing, and safety of ministry professionals for their own sake and for those they serve. This  9-month course explores the theory and practice of supervision and enables participants to develop and embed core skills in a transformative learning environment. Divided into two parts, the course begins with a 5-day in-person intensive that introduces the theory and skills of RPS in a creative, sacred, and experiential setting. Practice in facilitated triads and 1:1 feedback tailor the learning experience to each participant. Participants who pass the classroom component are eligible to engage the practicum portion of the course with the support of a training supervisor.

Upon successful completion of the final portfolio, participants are qualified to provide courageous, compassionate, and wholistic reflective space to ministry practitioners as they navigate the dynamics and complexities of their setting.  Graduates report that the whole creative learning process transforms how they work with clients.

In this fast changing and challenging time, research is showing RPS to be a critical, ongoing, and life changing support for ministry professionals.
