Michael A. Hotz, OWSa

SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR

As a Spiritual Director, I come alongside others to listen in confidential, unhurried settings. I meet your life and story with interest, respect, gentleness, and compassion, trusting that God is with us in these conversations. Together, we discover where God is in your sacred story and nurture your friendship with God.

I enjoy leading retreats where individuals and teams can step aside from the crazy busy noise and make room to listen to God. I feel particularly passionate about offering a safe place for pastors, spiritual directors, and other soul care providers to have a place to listen and care for their own souls.

I come to this ministry after serving in vocational ministry for 27 years, 18 of those years in ordained ministry. I studied at Luther Seminary and received my certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Christos Center for Spiritual Formation. I have also done significant work and received training in gender, race, and human sexuality. I am open and affirming and use he/him pronouns.
